The region : Le Conquet

Town at the Conquet is located at the "outside limit"
at 14,9 miles from the West of Brest. It's one of
principal fishing port in Finistere (crabs, lobsters,
fish).
The Conquet is also a loading port for Molene and
Ouessant islands .
As far back as 10th century, Le conquet was a
prosperous Town thanks to fishing and trading, but
it was tackled and plundered several times by the
Norman and the English.
In July 1558, an anglo-dutch fleet of more than 100
ships and 1200 men plundered and destroyed to almost
totality of the town only a dozen of houses left.
To visit and discover
Walking in the lames, you can admire the house of
English to N°1 of the street Aristide Briand,
dwelling of formes ship owner and the house of the
Lord's on the old port with its turret.

The long beach of Les Blancs Sablons sands 2 kms,
place of relaxation
and water sports for the veliplanchistes ands
surfers.

The St Mathieu point, its vault, its abbey and its
Headlight.
The hikers will be able to go
over the coastal lame or to go to Molène and
Ouessant.

You can also discover "La mer d'Iroise" and go to
see dolphins and seals.
